I am an Associate Professor of Statistics, and Director of Doctoral Studies, at the Department of Statistics, Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE), Umeå University. My research has, in various ways, focused on model selection for causal inference and I have extensive knowledge of methods within the areas of causal inference and machine learning. I am a steering group member of Stat4Reg (STATistical research laboratory FOR the analysis of REGister data) and regularly collaborate with researchers in medicine and social science. Since 2014 I have been working part time as a database administrator, responsible for researcher support, at Umeå SIMSAM Lab.

I have lead research projects funded by the Swedish Research Council, supervised PhD students, developed and applied advanced statistical methods.
